OLAP 
SQL Server DBA new to OLAP on 2005 which developer is requesting. Analysis services is installed but unsure if there are additional steps that I need to complete before handing over to developer. Please advise as BOL is confusing.

From an admin perspective, no. If you have SSAS installed and running, you have everything they need. There might be subsequent storage permission issues, but you have the SSAS server up and running. They should be able to do everything they need to from that point forward.

Michael - Thanks for the response. From an admin perspective are their security considerations for OLAP (SSAS) that I would need to put in place similar to restrictions on sa dbo etc on sql server ?

OLAP has various levels of permissions similar to SQL. Which permissions you grant at the instance and database levels depends on your environment. In addition to the security you can grant through roles and the security dialogs there is also "dynamic security" which limits permissions based on an MDX query. Dynamic security can impact your performance, you need to optimize the security MDX just like any other query.
